Borden-Macomber House, circa 1833, has been in the same family for generations.Family legend has ownership beginning in the mid 1800's as a wedding gift, to Joseph Macomber and Finis Borden Macomber, on Sept 9, 1847. At one time, it is believed there were an additional 23 rooms surrounding the original structure that exists today For those wondering. The majority of the house was salvaged. Almost all of the interior woodworkings, fixtures, fireplace surrounds were salvaged prior tot the demo! The exterior had many parts of it salvaged as well prior to the demo for reuse. The fragile structure had a lot of dry rot and was removed. Parts of the home will live on in many ways! WE DIG® Excavation Corp. WE DIG® was hired to demolish the former Hoxsie car dealership. Prior to being a car dealership this area was notorious for granite Quarries and this was one of the many buildings used for the quarry operations. The oldest dealership in Westerly, Hoxsie has been at three previous sites in town and at its present site since 1950. Hoxsie started as a used-car operation and became a Dodge-Plymouth dealership in 1928. WE DIG® Excavation Corp. Pulling out a 35+- ton rock that split in two by 7 ton rock dropped from the bucket.  Obviously not advised and only recommended with the proper experience and safety precautions in place.

Brought in our D6K XL 2 to grade and level out for a soccer field for a school..
